The Atlas 229 wheel clamp swing arm tire changer is the perfect tire changer for the small automotive garage or ATV/MC dealer. The Atlas 229 has the same clamping and tire changing capabilities as the Atlas TC 221 wheel clamp tire changer, but has the added bead blaster system to help inflate stiff sidewall tires or other "hard to inflate" tires. 3 Positions For Clamping Jaws: Clamping jaws can be moved to three different positions along the slides of the turntable to either increase or decrease the clamping range.

Bead Blaster: The revolutionary Bead Blaster design found on many of our Atlas tire changers provides an enormous amount of air pressure and volume (blasting air through the air holes positioned near the movable turntable jaws) to seat the beads on most stiff sidewall tires. This tremendous volume of air, directed to the inside cavity of the tire, forces both tire sidewalls to press solidly against the wheel so that the tire will "hold air". Atlas wheel clamp tire changers offer this exclusive bead blast design on most of their tire changers. This innovative large volume Bead Blaster design allows the operator to seat the beads and easily inflate even the most stubborn of stiff sidewall tires.

The larger air tank reservoir holds more compressed air than most competitive tire changers. The tank is connected to a unique valve system which utilizes an oversized hose system to deliver a huge amount of air pressure and volume in a short amount of time.

This new Bead Blaster design allows a larger volume of air at a higher pressure to be forced into the tire cavity for a longer period of time. This increased pressure and volume of the Bead Blaster system separates the Atlas wheel clamp tire changers from their competition. One pedal allows the operator to seat the bead and inflate the tire to the factory recommend pressure in a short amount of time.

The use of Atlas Motorcycle/ATV Flip Adapters prevent the use of the air bead blast feature on this tire changer. The adapters are slid over the standard wheel clamp jaws on the tire changer table and will block the holes through which the bead blast shoots the jets of air. This means that you will not be able to use the Bead Blaster to help you reseat the bead of a tire when you are using either of these adapter sets.

Atlas WB49-2 Self-Calibrating 2D Computer Wheel Balancer 

The Atlas WB49-2 represents the very latest generation of Atlas Wheel Balancer. Boasting Automatic 2D Data Entry, the offset and diameter are entered automatically using the inner measuring gauge, and the all-new 'monitor-style' large LED display and new design chassis give the balancer a far more practical and aesthetically improved design.

Luxury features are included as standard with the WB49-2, such as Split-Weight Function for discreetly locating the weights behind the spokes, and automatic LED light to illuminate the inside of the rim when applying the weights.

"Split-Weight" Feature:
The WB49 has the automatic data entry feature not found on the Atlas WB41 . The measuring guide rod for the automatic data entry is also used to determine the placement of wheel weights when used with the "split-weight" feature of the WB49. The WB41 does not have the split weight feature programmed into its software.

Many custom rims have decorative spokes and certain customers do not want any wheel weights to be "seen" on these fancy wheels. The only place to "hide" the stick-on weights is behind the spokes of the wheel.

The "split-weight" feature allows the operator to "split" the correct amount of weight and "hide" these weights behind the spokes. The measuring guide rod is used to pinpoint the placement of the weights and the WB49's software determines the amount of weight that needs to be applied.

Newly Designed Computer Board: This Atlas Wheel Balancer uses a newly designed computer board system that makes replacement of the computer board as easy as plug and play. Many of the Asian manufacturers are using computer technology that is over ten years old. All of the Atlas balancers are implementing the newest and most reliable computer technology available. This improved technology is one of the many reasons that Atlas balancers will provide years of reliable service. This is a self-calibrating computer wheel balancer. There is no need to calibrate the balancer each morning when you turn it on.
