Atlas 9KOHX Adjustable Height Overhead Two Post Lift  9,000 lbs. Capacity Light Commercial Grade

The Atlas 9KOHX is the perfect choice for those customers who demand the most lifting capacity at the lowest possible price. The Atlas 9KOHX can be adjusted to two different height settings: 11' 6" or 11' 10".

The Atlas 9KOHX has symmetric columns and specially designed arms that can be set in either the symmetric or asymmetric position. The asymmetric/symmetric arm design offers an extremely low lift pad position on the EZ-metric lift arm configuration. This low pad height will allow the operator to position the lift arms under most small cars (with low pick up points) and light pick up trucks.

The Atlas 9KOHX includes: a complete set of solid peg type truck adapters, mounting hardware, a set of sliding lift point adapters, and a 220 volt single phase power unit that can be mounted on either side of the lift. (The power unit column must be on the correct side).

The Atlas 9KOHX two post "chain over roller" lifts have a spring loaded Secondary Lock System (SLS) that automatically engages in the event of a slack or broken chain.

Dual Point Lock Release - The dual-point lock release features locks in both columns. The lock cable in both columns must be pulled to release the locks.

Automatic Arm Restraints - are needed to keep the arm "locked" into a position relative to the carriage. When the arms are at rest in the lowest position, the arm restraint pin (which extends below the carriage) is pressed up and the lock (teeth) mechanism is disengaged. The operator can then move the arms so that the lift pads can be properly positioned under the vehicle’s lift points. Once the carriage is raised (approximately 2 inches) the lock is reengaged and the arms cannot be moved. However, the operator may pull the knob or metal ring to manually unlock the arms. Lock restraints do not guarantee that a vehicle cannot be "moved" off of the lift pads. Operator should use care when working on vehicles that have an abundant amount of undercoating (lift pads may "slide") or a significant weight imbalance of the vehicle may occur due to removal of an engine or transmission. Also, "HEAVY wrenching" may result in a vehicle shifting weight on the arm pads. We recommend the use of tall jack stands under the vehicle to add another layer of safety.

Overhead Configuration - The overhead bar configuration leaves the floor area between the columns open, and allows the operator to easily roll a transmission jack or a tool box under the car. The Automatic Padded Shut-Off Bar located below the cross beam prevents the top of the vehicle from being damaged by hitting the cross beam. The padded bar, which contacted automatically shuts off the motor on the power unit to prevent the vehicle from being lifted.

Asymmetric/Symmetric Arm Design - offers an extremely low lift pad position on the EZ-metric lift arm configuration. This low pad height will allow the operator to position the lift arms under most small cars (with low pick up points) and heavier pick up trucks. This lift has symmetrical columns and includes a set of EZ-metric arms. These arms can be configured into the symmetrical position to lift a full loaded pick up truck OR these arms can be configured to the asymmetric position to offer easier opening of the front door on some vehicles.

The power unit may or may not have a short pigtail (no plug) that can be wired to either an optional quick disconnect box (mounted on the lift column) or to a male/female plug combination. A 30 amp breaker is required.

Installation
The Atlas 9KOHX Overhead Two Post Lift should be installed on a concrete floor. This concrete floor should have a minimum of four (4) inches of concrete with 3000 PSI strength. Most of our above ground lift customers install their own car lifts. The average time to install the Atlas 9KOHX car lift is five hours. We provide detailed installation instructions with all our two post above ground lifts and our four post above ground lifts.
